Dr Amin Kalaaji is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon, Consultant and Medical Director of Oslo Plastikkirurgi Clinic in Norway.
He served as President of the Norwegian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (2018–2020) and is Assistant Chair for National Secretaries of ISAPS (2022–2026).
Within ISAPS, Dr Kalaaji serves as Chair of the Global Survey Committee (2024–2026), participates in the Visiting Professor Program (VPP) for Breast and Body, and is a member of the Focus Group for Regenerative Medicine at the ISAPS Education Council (2024–2026).
He is also Chair of the Norwegian American Aesthetic Meetings (2015–2025), a former Board Member and Chair of the Membership Committee of ISPRES (2020–2022), and an Honorary Member of the Serbian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
Dr Kalaaji has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers and delivered more than 500 lectures, courses, interviews and invited presentations worldwide for organizations and congresses including ASAPS, ISAPS, ISPRES and IMCAS.
In 2022, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the two-volume Springer textbook Plastic and Aesthetic Regenerative Surgery and Fat Grafting: Clinical Application and Operative Techniques.
The publication comprises 117 chapters, approximately 2,000 pages, 1,625 educational figures and 131 video clips, with contributions from 242 authors across 31 countries and five continents. It has achieved more than 75,000 downloads, and a second edition is in preparation.
His main clinical and research interests include regenerative plastic and aesthetic surgery, fat grafting, aesthetic breast surgery, body contouring, hybrid breast augmentation, female intimate surgery, gluteal fat augmentation (BBL), rhinoplasty and quality of life after aesthetic surgery.
Dr Kalaaji serves as Section Editor for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and on the editorial boards of several international journals, including Aesthetic Surgery Journal, Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery, European Journal of Plastic Surgery and Acta Chirurgiae Plasticae.
